Brew Better: Dialing In Ubud Nightfall for the Perfect Latte

If your morning is espresso and oat milk on autopilot, this one's for you. Ubud Nightfall is our darkest roast, designed to punch through milk without disappearing — thick, chocolatey, with a crema that actually looks like something.

Here's our house recipe, and it's a forgiving one: 18 grams in, 38 grams out, in 27 to 30 seconds, water around 93°C. That roughly 1:2 ratio gives you margin.

If shots run fast and sour, grind finer. Slow and bitter, grind coarser. Change one thing, pull again, taste. Patience beats gadgets — a scale and a timer do more than any pricey upgrade.

Steam your milk to about 60°C for glossy microfoam, pour slow to combine, then speed up close to the surface for latte art. Grab a bag, dial it in over a weekend, and you'll never look at grocery-store espresso the same way again.
